Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur – Introductory

Hi, I am Mark Sherry a serial entrepreneur from North Bay, Ontario Canada. I have founded nine companies in the last twenty-five years in a whole bunch of widely different industries, including restaurants, explosives, mining software, board games, software sales, consulting and most recently a grocery shopping app called gofer.run. Many people seem to be interested in my entrepreneurial journey, so I have decided to share it. It is from my point of view without a great deal of self editing. I will capture snippets of my journey through a blog called “Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur”.

My first article called “What the Pandemic Made Me Do” was about a passion project we had to pivot away from called One Red Maple. One Red Maple was an app that redirected sales out of large corporately owned online stores to locally owned businesses. Think of the modern-day equivalent of Robinhood stealing sales from Amazon and redirecting them locally.
